Author, Designer, and "that girl your mother warned you about." Looking good seems to be my job, whether it's working with the site design, or a number of other more interesting capacities. I have a ridiculous sense of humour and a brutal sense of honesty- you'll see a lot of that coming through in my writing, so don't say I didn't warn you if I somehow manage to offend you AND hurt your feelings at the same time. On the plus side, it makes my dating and advice columns a lot more pertinent to an unfinished man in the real world.

Car Manufacturer Trolls A Troll – Honda eHarmony and Debbie

I guess by now most of you have heard about Debbie’s eHarmony video – an impassioned video bio in which lovely Debbie makes an attempt at introducing her real, inner self to the internet. While Debbie is obviously a troll, her video about loving cats is still beyond hilarious; she loves every type of cat, and it just makes her SO sad that she can’t hug them all and put them on rainbows and it’s a very emotional time for her.  While pretty funny, it’s not really post worthy, until now: super awesome manly man Patrick Warburton has made a Honda eHarmony video. He too feels emotional… about Hondas. He knows not all Hondas are being driven, and wants to hug every type of Honda, but he just can’t and it makes him so sad! Guy Denning – Occupy Wall Street Through the Eyes of an Artist

As Occupy Wall Street continues, the emotions for everyone involved are running higher with each passing day. With the addition of veterans, solidarity statements from around the world, and other cities experiencing their own versions of the protest, we know this is a standoff that won’t end easily. Regardless of where you stand and how you feel about any of the participants and their actions, this incredible display is going to change the world we know. It’s one thing to see the thousands of amazing photographs of this important slice of history, but London artist Guy Denning has begun chronicling these world altering events in simple swirls of charcoal and conte. There’s a tremendous sense of emotion and movement in these incredible pieces, even though they appear hastily sketched on whatever was close at hand. Don Cheadle is Asshole Captain Planet

I used to watch a lot of Captain Planet. I’m not actually sure why, as he had a mullet and made bad puns and hung out with a lot of ineffectual kids in his pajamas, but I guess the underlying message was a good one so it makes up for my poor judgement. When you compared Captain Planet to everything else that was going on- Ninja Turtles, Transformers, GI Joe, X-Men, Batman The Animated Series (my god did we ever have it good growing up)- it was a pretty wussy show all around. Captain Planet had the makings of a finished man, so don’t get me wrong, and environmental stewardship is super important, but dammit… overall, he just sucked. Luckily, Funny or Die has re-imagined Captain Planet as the hardcore envirogangsta he should have always been, with the help of the brilliant Don Cheadle. The power is yours, bitches.

Bacon Lube: Insert Meat Joke Here…This Is a Thing

You know, we talk about bacon a lot. Really; bacon is one of those magical man foods that makes everything taste and smell delicious and wonderful, but I have to wonder- in the case of Bacon Lube… are you that ashamed of your junk that you need the attractive prowess of the world’s wonder meat to improve your own? Bacon Lube started out as an April Fools joke, and thanks to all the men on the net with more hunger and chest hair than brains, it is now a real product. I honestly can’t decide if this is the crowning achievement of civilization or if it’s the most retarded thing a man could possibly slather on his nether regions (and in this day and age, that’s really saying something.)

Who didn’t want to be an astronaut when they were a kid? We dreamed of aliens in bubble helmets and laser guns in rockets, but as we get older we see the strange dichotomy of heightened public and professional interest and waning monetary support for space exploration. Regardless, most of us will never get up there, and what we see is filtered down to us with less chest bursters and moon civilizations, but infinitely more wonder and beauty than we could have ever imagined. Buying Girls Drinks – When Did It Get So Complicated?

It’s been a while since I wrote for you guys about this sort of thing. I took a week and jetted off to Vegas (those of you who follow our Facebook page may have witnessed some of my drunken ramblings) and while I was there, I experienced a lot of offers for ‘free drinks.’ Buying girls drinks is one of those things that is starting to be viewed unfavorably by both sexes. As guys, you feel like every girl out there is a floozy out to take your money and run, and as girls, you feel like asshole bros are going to force feed you bad lines and cheap drinks so they can try to force feed you something else. This is ridiculous. What kind of state are we in in the dating world? The bar is hardly the place to find love – obviously- and you shouldn’t be throwing around money and alcohol to attract people to you. However, buying girls drinks can be fun, natural, and a great opener that will save you from being taken advantage of while helping her appreciate you as a no-pressure, normal guy.
