Max Payne 3 – Screenshots Gallore

The release of Max Payne 3 is just around the corner, and I’m feeling a bit weird about the whole thing. It’s been so long since Max Payne 2 hit store shelves that I almost can’t believe someone is reviving the franchise. They are though, and Rockstar Games will release Max Payne 3 on May 16th. In the spirit of violence, noir dialogue, and Max’s enduring physique, I present this collection of new screenshots.

If these new screenshots have one thing in common, it’s that they all look absolutely fantastic. Max has gotten a bit older, but like a fine wine, he’s only gotten more… delicious? violent? pot bellied? I don’t know, just go check out the screenshots.

Head Shot

I think all of these shots look great, but my favorite by far is the shot of Max swigging back the bottle of “Kong”. There’s something about the light steaming through the window casting heavy shadows across Max that really excites me in a completely sexual way for the game’s upcoming release. If the dialogue is even half as interesting as the previous two games, I’m confident we’ve got a winner on our hands. Unlike with IO Interactive’s upcoming Hitman: Absolution, we know that the original voice of Max Payne, James McCaffrey, is reprising his role and even doing the motion capture this time around. Exciting stuff!

If you haven’t noticed already, these screenshots are the perfect size to use as your very own Max Payne 3 wallpapers. No, they aren’t the highest resolution, so those of you with huge wide screen displays are shit out of luck, but they’re perfect for those of you that are running 1280×720 desktop resolutions.

Max Payne 3 arrives for PC, Xbox360, and PS3 on Max 16th, 2012. If you’re looking for more information on the game, head over to the official website.
