Christ Rene perfomrs Young Homie on The X Factor

So I was watching the premier of The X Factor earlier tonight featuring judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and LA Reid. The X Factor is a talent show just like American Idol and America’s Got Talent. As some of you may know, I am always on the lookout for new artists.

The one artist that really stood out for me on the season premier was Chris Rene performing an original song called ‘Young Homie’. When Chris Rene first said that he will be performing an original song (especially the name of the song), the judges sort of rolled their eyes and already started to judge him before he even sang. To everyone’s surprise, Chris Rene did an awesome job and got a standing ovation. His vocals on the audition really reminded me of Mike Posner.

Music Time Capsules – The World is Listening

I found time capsules so exciting as a child. I think most kids probably did, and do, love time capsules. There’s something magical about preserving part of your life, deep underground, until somebody finds it in the distant future. Maybe we find them so fascinating because, even after we’re gone, we will still have some connection with the Earth and the people on it.

Anyway, following on from that philosophical interlude, a project is currently running which is trying to bring the traditional time capsule into the 21st Century. Instead of preserving something in a box underground, this dude has decided to

Soccer is one of those sports that somehow manages to simultaneously maintain both the most ravenous die-hard fans in the world, and the attitude that most footie players are giant wussbags. Largely, this comes down the the fact that tackling vs. foul tackling is hotly debated, and acting as though you may die right there on the pitch is pretty common (especially when someone kicks nowhere near you.) The best way to man soccer up a bit?
