Onxy Hybrid Scooter

Peugeot Hybrid Onyx Scooter Concept

French car manufacturer, Peugeot, started out as a coffee mill back in the early 1800’s and produced its first automobile in 1891. Although the company is mostly associated with manufacturing cars and vans, Peugeot also has a large line of scooters ranging from small 50cc, to larger displacement scooters as high as 500cc. The French company currently offers 21 different scooter models of various displacements as well as an innovative electric motor.

Peugeot will be presenting an all-new three wheeled Onyx Scooter Concept, inspired by the 680hp Onyx Hybrid Supercar Concept, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The matte black and copper color scheme is very similar to the Onyx Supercar Concept. The 400cc Onyx Scooter will feature a plug-in hybrid engine and will be available in two different configurations: Urban Mode and Sport Mode.

subwing and man underwater

Explore The Ocean Floor With Subwing

First there was cruising above the surface of the water with the Jetlev R200, and then came the not so cool Aquaskipper, where you use human power to propel yourself across the surface of the water in a very lame looking contraption.

And now we have the Subwing, where you get to glide under water as a dolphin would. It’s basically a small wing you hold on to while being pulled along by a boat. The Subwing allows you to move sideways, twist, and even dive. Based on what I saw in the video below, one could hurt themselves if not careful. But then again, that can apply to anything.

Vilner Tuned Jeep Wrangler

Vilner Jeep Wrangler

Bulgarian car tuners Vilner, who recently tuned a couple of the nicest Land Rover Defenders I’ve ever seen, have now turned their attention to the American off-road legend, the Jeep Wrangler.

While hard-core Wrangler fans might not like the Vilner tuned Jeep Wrangler, I think it looks pretty nice and sophisticated.  My only complaint is the wheels; they don’t go well with this vehicle.

Ford Focus RS500 – Not Your Momma’s Focus

Ford Focus RS500 Front

The Ford Focus RS500 is a super-tuned version of the Ford Focus RS, which is a tuned version of the regular Focus.  The RS500 is powered by a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder turbo-charged engine that produces a whopping 345 horsepower.  That’s right, 345 horsepower with 339 pound-feet of torque, to the front wheels.  There is enough power to power this pocket-rocket from standstill to 60 miles/hour in 5.6 seconds, that’s only 0.6 seconds slower than the 4.6 liter Ford Mustang.

The RS500 is only available in a matte black color with red Recaro racing seats.  The RS500 rides on 19 inch, 15 spoke racing wheels, finished in metallic black, tucked under massive fender flares.  The car has dual exhaust sticking out of the diffuser in the back below the beautifully sculpted rear spoiler on the roof.  The Focus RS500 looks very menacing with this paint scheme and the aggressive body work and could easily be the next bat mobile.
