Video: How Not To Do A Burnout

burnout-crash-video

Below is a short video clip of a Polish “biker boy” trying to show off to his girlfriend or a girl he’s trying to score with, by doing a burnout.  The video is only 9 seconds long but well worth watching over and over again.  The video title says it all, “Zajebisty jeste”, which means “fucking, you” (rough translation, thanks Google).

As an ex-biker, I kind of feel bad for the guy, he should have used the golden rule, which is, never show off to girls especially the ones with cameras, until you actually know what you’re doing (be it wheelies, burnouts, or other shenanigans).  Video after the jump.

Ducati Monster 100 Bulgari Vilner 1

Vilner Tuned Ducati Monster 1100 EVO Bulgari

Not a week goes by where we don’t write about a tuned car, however, it’s pretty rare for us to write about tuned motorcycles.  I guess because motorcycles (sport bikes) are already highly tuned by their manufacturers to squeeze out every ounce of performance from those small engines and there isn’t much bodywork that can be enhanced/tuned by aftermarket tuners.  There are rare occasions when a tuner works their magic on a motorcycle, in this case, the Ducati Monster 1100 EVO Bulgari tuned by Vilner.

I’m not sure if this project is a collaboration between Vilner and Italian luxury goods retailer Bulgari (Bvlgari) or the “Bulgari” is referring to Bulgaria, the country where Vilner is from.  According to Vilner, the Ducati Monster 1100 EVO Bulgari’s design is inspired by a praying mantis that’s moving gracefully while performing Kung Fu… or something like that, see their quote below.

Back in the day when I used to ride a motorcycle, to me it was all about going very fast on a “crotch rocket” and looking …

World's First Underwater Aircraft

Necker Nymph – World’s First Underwater Aircraft

World's First Underwater Aircraft

There are very few guys out there that can be considered a finished man. Besides Jonathan Goldsmith, the most interesting man in the world, I would say that Sir Richard Branson comes in at a close second. Branson has pretty much done it all and is one of the richest people in the world. He has spent plenty of money on commercializing space flight, completed ridiculous across the world adventures, and now he is ready to conquer the sea.

His company has designed a catamaran called the Necker Belle which happens to be one of the fastest on the water. The cool thing about the Necker Belle is that it boasts the world’s first underwater aircraft dubbed as the Necker Nymph.  The Necker Nymph is a three-person aero-submarine capable of diving down to a depth of 30 meters to explore the deep without using any human power.

Top Gear The Cool 500 Cars Book

Top Gear – “The Cool 500: The Coolest Cars Ever Made” Book

I can’t remember the last time I read an entire book; as I got older, I lost patience for the long-winded descriptions authors use to describe the simplest of things.  There are however, some books I don’t mind “reading”, like Top Gear’s “The Cool 500: The Coolest Cars Ever Made”.

The book is a must have (notice, I didn’t say “must read”) for any car fan.  The book features some of the coolest cars every produced, with amazing photography that’s signature Top Gear.  The book not only includes pictures, but in-depth commentary on the cars and all the technical information that should keep one busy for a very long time, if they’re into reading that sort of things.

Wiesmann Roadster MF4 Top Down

Sexy Retro-Mod – Weismann Roadster MF4

Weismann has been building “Retro-Mod” cars since 1985; you ask what a “Retro-Mod” car is?  A Retro-Mod is a term that I think I made up in reference to an automobile (in this case) that takes its design inspirations from a retro car but the drivetrain, powertrain and everything else in the car is modern.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of something (maybe the press release had a typo and it should have been 25th anniversary?), Weismann brought their newest car to the Geneva Auto Show, the Weismann Roadster MF4.  The car looks incredible with classic British styling on the outside and a luxurious and sporty modern interior.  Leather is everywhere, from the steering wheel to the dashboard to the center console and of course on the very supportive looking driver and passenger seats.  If you’re into gauges (like I am), there are plenty of those in the car, seven to be exact.
