…Vancouver’s hidden gem. Over the last few years I’ve seen quite a few Intermeccanica cars on the road, I knew they were based on the Porsche 356 Roadsters, but wasn’t sure who made them, and never really looked into the company until I saw them featured on a car show. Shortly after that, I met the owner, Henry Reisner, at the Vancouver International Auto Show. The company was actually located right in my backyard (not literally). They were located in Vancouver, Canada and in an area I visited quite often (the company has since moved to New Westminster, BC Canada – even closer to the Unfinished Man headquarters).

All-New 2013 MINI Cooper Paceman
I didn’t think it was possible to come up with another variant of the MINI but here we are once again with a new model. This time, it’s the 2013 MINI Paceman, which is basically the coupe version of the MINI Countryman. Not including the special editions, the 2013 Paceman is the eighth variant of the MINI Cooper. The MINI Paceman Concept originally made its debut back in 2011 at the Detroit Motor Show.
The 2013 MINI Paceman is about an inch shorter in length compared to the MINI Countryman. The vehicle also has a lower roof height by 31mm and ride height is lowered by 10mm which helps in giving it a sportier look and feel. The designs of the Countryman and Paceman are similar but the new model receives longer front doors, more muscular rear fenders, and completely different taillights to differentiate the models.
Ford Focus RS500 – Not Your Momma’s Focus
The Ford Focus RS500 is a super-tuned version of the Ford Focus RS, which is a tuned version of the regular Focus. The RS500 is powered by a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder turbo-charged engine that produces a whopping 345 horsepower. That’s right, 345 horsepower with 339 pound-feet of torque, to the front wheels. There is enough power to power this pocket-rocket from standstill to 60 miles/hour in 5.6 seconds, that’s only 0.6 seconds slower than the 4.6 liter Ford Mustang.
The RS500 is only available in a matte black color with red Recaro racing seats. The RS500 rides on 19 inch, 15 spoke racing wheels, finished in metallic black, tucked under massive fender flares. The car has dual exhaust sticking out of the diffuser in the back below the beautifully sculpted rear spoiler on the roof. The Focus RS500 looks very menacing with this paint scheme and the aggressive body work and could easily be the next bat mobile.
Top Gear USA – First Trailer
As a huge fan of the infamous “car show” Top Gear, I was relieved to find out that Adam Carolla didn’t make it as a host on the show. The guy’s not funny at all, and probably knows nothing about cars. Having said that…
I think the show has a lot of potential, but I do have some major concerns. Watch the trailer, and then let me explain exactly what
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition For Canada Only Eh
Normally the Canadians don’t get cool or special edition car models that are specifically made for their car market but for some reason Mercedes-Benz decided to unveil a special edition of the C63 AMG at the Montreal Auto Show. Called the C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition (named after the German city where AMG’s factory is located), it will only be sold in Canada and will be produced in a limited number of 30 cars.
The Mercedes C63 AMG is a pretty sweet ride to begin with; the Affalterbach Edition adds a few more trim pieces to make the car even sweeter. The car is painted in unique MAGNO Allanite Grey and comes with 19 inch rims that showcase the big red calipers. Other aesthetic improvements include carbon fiber mirror covers and a subtle rear-spoiler lip, the carbon fiber gives the car a sportier look IMO.
Hot Rod Grills – Carbecue?
Guys love cars, guys love food; if we break it down a step further, guys love engines, and guys love barbecuing. Since we’re heading into spring and we’ve already given you the heads up on some gorgeous new grills to get your steak sauce flowing (especially on March 14th), we thought you might enjoy this gem: The Ultimate Grill, by Hot Rod Grills. Scaled 1:1 with a hot rod engine, this awesome piece brings the garage to your yard by looking exactly like an engine on a stand. Flip it open, and you have 30,000 BTU at your disposal; you’ll be the envy of everyone at the tailgate, because as we all know, more power means more awesome. Plus, if you’ve ever wanted to look manly and interesting by working on a car but can’t figure out how to hold a wrench, you’ll be able to use a set of barbecue tongs with this bad boy, and you’ll be looking just as macho. The excess steam is even vented out the side pipes. If you’re looking for accessories, Hot Rod Grills also carries corn cob holders shaped like spark plugs, and connecting rod skewers. Manly entertaining just got a whole lot cooler.
