The Worlds Largest Swimming Pool – San Alfonso Del Mar

I’ve been to Mexico and experienced the awesomeness that swim up bars entail, but the pools I’ve seen are downright minuscule compared to this 1000 yard long, 66 million gallon pool. Located in Algarrobo Chile, the San Alfonso del Mar resort sports the world’s largest swimming pool. When I was initially shown this resort I figured it had something to do with a Chilean version of The Fonz, but sadly that’s not the case.

Apparently the pool is so large that guests use kayaks and pirate ships to move around, which is probably for the best considering how drunk most of the guests must get after a few drinks in the Chilean heat.
