Joerg Sprave, the Slingshot guru, has recently unveiled his latest DIY weapon – “The Nerd Revenge 2000”. The new weapons system is a pump action, pencil firing crossbow capable of firing a pencil at close to 100mph and has a magazine capacity of 10 rounds (pencils).
The range of the weapon is only 5 meters since a pencil is relatively light but the range can be extended by gluing an archery field tip to the pencil. The added weight at the tip of the pencil helps extend the range and provides a more deadly punch.
The Nerd Revenge 2000 was inspired by the Chinese Repeating Crossbow, but the repeating action has been improved by implementing the clicker pump action method of reloading and firing which can be seen in the video below. The homemade weapon can go through 10 rounds in just under five seconds. The pencil, once used to spread knowledge and peace now spreads fear.
