Everything we do these days seem to revolve around our smart phones/devices and they practically control everything around the house now including setting the mood via mood lighting. I present to you, the Lumen Smart Bulb. The App enabled bluetooth smart bulb is “smart” in a few ways. First, it’s an LED light bulb so it will last approximately 30 times longer than a traditional incandescent bulb while using five times less energy to save you money. But the other “smart” and cool part about the Lumen Smart Bulb is that the bulb can be controlled wirelessly via bluetooth from your iOS device (Android support coming soon) for not only turning on/off but changing the color of the bulb to whatever color you can think of.
I have a dim nightlight in my apartment in the color red but my hallway would be a lot more interesting if the lighting was a different color every night. Not only can you change the color but you are also able to control the intensity of the bulb. The Lumen Smart Bulb also features seven pre-programmed lighting modes such two Party Modes allowing you to transform the living room into a dance floor. Well, sort of. It has pre-programmed flashing beats which matches the music.
Romance Mode: Creating the perfect lighting in your dining/living room whether it’s for dinner, a cuddle & a movie, or something more freaky.
Relaxation Mode: Having trouble sleeping? Even with melatonin, I seem to wake up every 90 minutes througout the night. In relaxation mode, the calming moonlight is apparently supposed to improve sleep and enhance rest.
Call Alert Mode: This one would be really useful for me. I have a terrible habit of always keeping my phone on silent and when I look at my phone, there are usually two or three missed calls. In this mode, the Lumen Smart Bulb will notify you when there is an incoming phone call. Very handy if your phone is on charge in the corner of the room and in silent mode.
Music Sync Mode: This one is kind of neat as well. In this mode, your music and lighting can be synchronized creating a party-like atmosphere.
Proximity Mode: Once you’re connected, like a pet, your smart light bulb will know whenever and wherever you are in or away from the home. I’m assuming it will automatically turn off once you’re out of range.
