This is a brand new story teaser for Hawken, a mech based shooter from indie developer Adhesive Games. PC Gamer showed the Hawken story teaser recently at their booth at PAX, and I’m happy to report that the game is looking better than ever. The developers are calling this a story teaser, but I think that Adhesive released this as an excuse to show off their impressive graphics engine. I found the story rather weak, but the visuals and music are both fantastic, and the game-play looks fun as well. I think that the team behind this has a lot to be proud of, especially given that this is their first title.
There’s currently no known release date for Hawken, but when Adhesive finally releases the game, I can finally live out my Robot Jox inspired fantasies in the digital realm. Sadly, I think I’ll have to wait a while before I can own a mech in real-life.
