Traveling to Venice – Action Movie Style

Venice is famous for its beauty and history; full of winding canals and waterways, the city is synonymous with romance. And chase scenes, so screw rom-coms! Have you noticed I’ve got travel and chase scenes on the brain lately? I blame it on winter cabin fever, which has prevented me from both traveling anywhere interesting in the last two months, and has stopped me from tailing other innocent motorists in the attempt to start ‘spontaneous’ high speed pursuit. Since I haven’t been out living it, I’ve been researching some of the absolute best heart pounding, fruit cart destroying (there’s always a fruit cart,) and wantonly disregarding of public property chase scenes ever. As it turns out, a lot of them are set in Venice… so let’s do the Internet equivalent of traveling to Venice, and gleefully plan all the ridiculous action movie scenes that we’re going to re-enact the second we get there.

Dripping Paint Table by John Nouanesing

John-Nouanesing-Dripping-Paint-Table

It’s not every day you see the Unfinished Man talk about a table; however, this is no ordinary table and deserves some recognition.

The table is called “Paint or Die But Love Me” is designed by John Nouanesing and at first glance it looks like a rectangular piece floating in the air, which has just been drenched in paint and the paint is dripping all over the floor.  John makes clever use of the paint drippings to give this table its legs.  The table is currently in concept stage is not available for sale. We hope it makes it into production because this would make for a pretty cool piece in your man cave/entertainment room.

Skataz – Electric Powered Skates

Cool electric powered skates by Skataz

Humans are getting lazier and lazier by the day. We have all these crazy inventions coming out that make simple tasks such as short distance walks obsolete. We have the Yike Bike,Segway, and electric skateboards just to name a few examples.

And now, we can also add electric skates to that list. The electric skates, dubbed as Skataz, uses a 350 watt motor to help you move. The electric motor is attached to one skate as that is sufficient enough to propel you in a forward direction. The Skataz are a bit bulky but the good thing is that you do not have to worry about taking your shoes off to wear them. Top speed of the Skataz is 13.5 miles per hour and acceleration seems to be pretty decent too.

Scarlet Red Sony Playstation 3 Slim

Earlier this year Sony showed us the sweet looking Silver PlayStation 3 Slim, now they’ve introduced two more colorful version of the ever popular PS3.  The two new colors are bright red and blue, officially called Scarlet Red and Splash Blue 320 GB PS3 Slim Consoles.

Just like the silver version, these colorful PS3’s have no added features other than bright colors (with a matching controller), but they do look quite good compared to the plain looking black PS3 slim.  The colorful PS3’s will go on sale in Japan on November 17, 2011 and will have a price of ¥29,980 (approximately $392 US at today’s exchange rate).
