Tree House Village in Oregon – Ewok-Style

About a year ago we wrote a post on the very awesome tree house community of Finca Bellavista located in Costa Rica.  If taking a trip all the way down to Costa Rica is out of your budget, there is an alternative; Michael Grainer has built a small village of tree houses in Oregon, just like the Ewoks in the Star Wars movie.

Michael Grainer runs the tree house village as a bed and breakfast at very affordable prices; he also sells equipment needed to build tree houses.  Fair Companies took a trip to the tree house village showcasing some of some of the cool rooms you can stay in, in the video below.  The videos also showcase Grainer’s own house, which is, of course a tree house and according to him, is the world’s biggest tree house.  It measures 1,800 square feet and is supported by 7 trees!  Now that’s a tree house!

  1. Uh, can you say my childhood dreams come true?

There are legit treehouses. Next time I go down to Oregon maybe I can work this in. So cool.

  2. Wow! That’s an enormous treehouse! It’s definitely one of the biggest I’ve ever seen. I have actually seen one larger, but I’m not sure how they compare, as the other one was a 10-story treechurch, and it is not suspended in the air as your is, either. Definitely the largest off the ground I’ve ever seen! It’s actually as large as my actual house (1850 sq. ft.). I’m looking forward to visiting your place some time in the future now, whenever I can make it up to Oregon. It’s a long way from Texas 🙂 It has to be one of the coolest places I’ve ever seen. Simply amazing!
