Dupont Corian Lounge chairs and Tyvek lamp look over Disney's Tron OutlandsApril 11th marked the start of Milan Design week, and this year, Disney and DuPont teamed up with a slew of designers to recreate Kevin Flynn’s virtual Safe House from Tron in real, tangible materials. Choosing Corian, an amazing surface material that can be produced in almost any color or finish, can be thermo-moulded, resists heat, scratching, pressure, and direct force, the finished product is pretty unbelievable. Featuring products from Jacuzzi, Luxit, Light Tape, and others, the furniture and house package is a sleek, glowing vision. Outside of desperately needing some sexy siren programs lounging around, I can’t see too many ways the aesthetic could any better represent Tron.  The display was shown at Padiglione Visconti in Milano, Italy, and just ended on the 17th.
