They say that photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving and what you catch on film is captured forever. Well, consumers are about to feel, touch, and love even more thanks to the introduction of the world’s first light field camera for the masses.

Stanford University graduate and owner of LYTRO, Ren Ng, developed the camera over the course of eight-years.  So you may be asking what in the world a light field camera is. Unlike all of the imaging devices on the market today, light field sensor, created by Stanford University researches over 15 years, captures every possible source of light within a shot, traveling at every direction and every point in space. Is having this capability really a big deal?

My first car was a Mini Cooper S which I sold recently, that car has a special place in my heart and lately I’ve been thinking of buying one of the original “real” Minis.  But I doubt I’ll go through with the purchase, instead I might just pick up one or two of the Zero Basic Mini Cooper USB Flash Drives.  Sure, it’s not the same thing but I do need a USB drive and it’s a lot cheaper than an original Mini, so why not make it a Mini Cooper USB flash drive.

When I first saw the Privacy Pop Bed Tent, the sequence of thoughts that ran through my mind went something like this:
“Wow, does that thing ever look incredibly stupid.”
“You could do terrible, terrible things in there and no one could see. ”
“No ass holes or the sun could ever wake me up!”
“…all of that is actually pretty great.”
So maybe I wouldn’t put it on my bed at home, but it actually looks like it would be the traveller’s (and the pervert’s) best friend.

A while back, I talked about a few necessities that every bachelor pad should have. One item I mentioned was the ever important flat screen TV, but didn’t really go into the details; today, I’m fixing that.

We’ll have a brief look at the various types of television sets available these days, and also the technologies they use. Even a basic understanding should help you make a better decision the next time you’re buying a TV. For starters, thank god the days of a tiny-ish Plasma TV costing $20,000+ are over. With high demand, and plenty of manufacturers, the price has been driven down so much that even someone as broke as myself can afford to purchase a Plasma or LCD TV.
