Prometheus Trailer

Prometheus Trailer – Ridley Scott

Finally, after months of still images and brief interviews with Ridley Scott, we get a real… actual… Prometheus trailer. Ridley used the word epic for this film during some of his interviews, and based on what I’ve seen in this short trailer, I don’t think he was exaggerating. The trailer is full of fast cuts, stunning landscapes, and more science fiction goodness than you can shake a xenomorph tail at.

I love most of Ridley Scott’s work in general, but what I really like about the trailer is the seemingly massive scale of the movie. There are shots of numerous cramped areas –  much like we saw in

Iron Throne Replica GOT 1

Game of Thrones: Buy a Replica of the Iron Throne

HBO’s Game of Thrones is one of the most popular TV shows and it’ll probably top the list of most downloaded shows this year.  Everyone at Unfinished Man loves the show and we’ve written quite a few posts related to the show.  If you’re a fan of the show and have money to burn, HBO is offering a life-sized replica of the infamous Iron Throne from the show, for a very affordable price of $30,000 plus $1,800 for shipping.

I say it’s affordable because of the money (gold/silver coins) you’d be saving by not going to war and collecting all the swords from you enemies and then commissioning artisans to make a throne out of them; because according to the books, the Iron Throne was constructed by Aegon I Targaryen from a thousand swords of enemies who surrendered and it took 59 days to construct.

Elysium Trailer – It’s Better Up There

You know, I was just telling my girlfriend that I can’t think of even a single movie that I’m looking forward to seeing. The next Bond film is ages away… who knows when the new Robocop is coming out, and Iron Man 3? Meh. But then… I saw this, like a cool glass of water in the desert.

After many long years (and yes, it really has been years since we first heard about Elysium), we finally have a leaked, awesome, bad-ass trailer for Elysium. I don’t want to spoil anything for you, so click that little play but below and

The X Factor – Chris Rene Performs ‘Young Homie’

Christ Rene perfomrs Young Homie on The X Factor

So I was watching the premier of The X Factor earlier tonight featuring judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and LA Reid. The X Factor is a talent show just like American Idol and America’s Got Talent. As some of you may know, I am always on the lookout for new artists.

The one artist that really stood out for me on the season premier was Chris Rene performing an original song called ‘Young Homie’. When Chris Rene first said that he will be performing an original song (especially the name of the song), the judges sort of rolled their eyes and already started to judge him before he even sang. To everyone’s surprise, Chris Rene did an awesome job and got a standing ovation. His vocals on the audition really reminded me of Mike Posner.

Music Time Capsules – The World is Listening

I found time capsules so exciting as a child. I think most kids probably did, and do, love time capsules. There’s something magical about preserving part of your life, deep underground, until somebody finds it in the distant future. Maybe we find them so fascinating because, even after we’re gone, we will still have some connection with the Earth and the people on it.

Anyway, following on from that philosophical interlude, a project is currently running which is trying to bring the traditional time capsule into the 21st Century. Instead of preserving something in a box underground, this dude has decided to
