2012 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG 1

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Sedan

The latest generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class is one of my favorite small, entry-level cars and I like it even more in AMG trim.  We’ve written quite a few posts on the C63 AMG (click link to see them all) over the last couple of years, however, all the posts have been on different variations of the C63 AMG (C63 Coupe, Black Series, etc.), none on the C63 AMG Sedan.

The current generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) was introduced in 2007 and was a huge step forward in terms of design over the car it replaced.  I liked the new design the moment I saw it, it has more straight lines and design features that make it look more like its bigger brother, the S-Class.  The C63 AMG takes the design even further with an aggressive look in the front and back, bigger wheels, lower suspension, and sporty side-skirts.

2013 Ford Flex Platinum 1

2013 Ford Flex Platinum Review

The original Ford Flex was introduced in 2009, and at the time, many journalists were confused by what type of a vehicle it was, and many of them weren’t big fans of the design (but hey, what do they know?). I personally liked the design from the beginning; I’m a big fan of vehicles with straight lines and boxy design.  To me, the Ford Flex is a modern day take on the classic surf wagons.  So if you’re also confused about what category the Flex fits in, it’s quite simple; the Ford Flex Platinum is a blend between a car (station wagon), a minivan, and an SUV – pretty simple right?  All blended with in with some cool retro-styling.

From the outside, the Flex looks very low but when you stand next to it, the roof is quite high, I parked it next to a Ford Ranger truck and the Flex’s roof was higher than the Ranger’s.  The Flex has the space of a minivan and the looks an SUV and can carry 7 passengers.  So is the Ford Flex the right vehicle for you?  Read the rest of the article and you can make a decision based on my experience.

Jaguar XJL Million Air

Jaguar XJL Portfolio Review

Beautiful, elegant, classy, sexy… these were some of the words that were used to describe the Jaguar XJL Portfolio when I showed it to some of my friends and family members, and these are the words I would personally use to describe this incredible machine.  I had a chance to review the 2011 Jaguar XJ a couple of years ago, and if you look at my previous review, you’ll notice that I absolutely fell in love with that car and the long wheelbase version of the XJ is no different, I really enjoyed my week with this car.

In the world of large luxury sedans, there are a handful of choices: you could buy an S-Class, a 7-Series, an A8, an LS460, a Quattroporte, or the Jaguar XJ.  Now these are all great cars and I’d love to review them someday, but if you’re looking to stand out and not be “just another banker”, then the Maserati Quattroporte and Jaguar XJ are the cars to be in.  But if you want to spend $100k or less, then the Quattroporte is out of the running.

Mercedes Benz CLA AMG

All-New Entry Level Mercedes-Benz CLA

Pictures of the Mercedes-Benz CLA have been floating around the internet for quite some time but nothing was official until Mercedes would confirm. The vehicle has been spotted on numerous occasions in its disguised variant being tested and as expected, Mercedes finally made it official. To many including myself, the Mercedes CLA kind of looks like a mini version of the CLS but then again, they do share the same DNA.

The CLA is a four-door sports sedan and will be using the MFA front-wheel drive platform which is also shared with the Mercedes A-Class while a 4Matic drive system will be available as an option. The vehicle will make its official debut

Mercedes Viano tuner van

Mercedes-Benz Viano by KTW Tuning

There is no way in hell I would ever consider purchasing a van unless it was either for business, or if I happened to have too many kids. But even so, I always thought it would be interesting to play around with a soccer mom minivan which looks mostly stock, but is a complete monster under the hood. It could be a fun little project if you had some money to throw around, and it seems I’m not the only one who thinks that way. The technicians over at KTW Tuning are on the same page and did just that.
