2013 Opel Adam Ready To Take On Fiat 500

Although not identical to the Fiat 500, you don’t have to be a genius to connect the dots and see how similar the Opel Adam is to the 500, especially from the rear view. The Fiat has seen success in the European market and GM’s European brand is eager to get in on the action.

The Opel Adam is certainly more aggressive looking and features a pinch of retro style designing. The Fiat 500 is a bit bland looking in my opinion. To set itself apart from the competition, the Opel is allowing customers to ability to customize the Adam to their liking on the inside of the vehicle as well as the exterior. The Opel Adam is also the first model in the A-segment that will have the option of LED daytime running lights.

BMW Zagato Roadster front

BMW Zagato Roadster Concept

Hot on the heels of the fantastic looking BMW Zagato Coupe concept, BMW releases the Zagato Roadster Concept; in collaboration with Italian coachbuilder Zagato.

Like the Zagato Coupe, the Roadster is based on the BMW Z4 and was produced after the positive reception the coupe received.  The roadster is virtually identical to the coupe, minus the roof; keen eyed readers will notice the crease on the side of the rear bumper has been moved up a bit on the roadster.

2013 Jaguar F Type 1

Jaguar F-Type Roadster

I wrote about the Jaguar F-Type sports car about a year ago, back then it was called the Jaguar C-X16 and was a concept.  Now we find out Jaguar is actually going to produce this car and is bringing it to the Paris Auto Show; I had said in my previous post that the car looked production ready and I was expecting it to be part of Jaguar’s lineup.

There have been some leaked photos of the Jaguar F-Type floating around on the internet but today we get official photos and information from Jaguar.  Although the concept car was a coupe, Jaguar only released images and info on the soft-top convertible; I’m expecting a coupe version some time in the future.

Smart Fortwo Brabus Xclusive

Smart fortwo by Brabus

We’ve featured German car tuners, Brabus, on a few occasions here at Unfinished Man but never like this; all our previous posts have been on high-performance Mercedes cars but this post explores the other end of the spectrum, the smart fortwo Brabus Xclusive presented by Brabus UK.

The smart fortwo was launched in 1998 and over 1.3 million vehicles have been sold since.  In 2002 Brabus and smart teamed up to create a new line of customized fortwo city cars, in the last decade, over 50,000 of these tuned city cars have been sold.

2014 Audi RS6 Avant

Audi RS6 Avant

Earlier this year Audi presented the RS4 Avant and now it’s time for its bigger brother to get the RS and Avant treatment.  Today Audi released images and information on the all-new 2014 RS6 Avant (wagon).

Like the RS4 Avant, the Audi RS6 Avant is not your average grocery getter.  It comes with space for lots of groceries but I doubt that will be the major reason for purchasing this vehicle, but if you do want to bring groceries from the store, you’ll do it faster than any of your neighbors.

2014 Audi SQ5

2014 Audi SQ5 TSI

Finally, we’re getting a performance oriented Audi vehicle that’s not going to be sold in Europe; unfortunately, it’s the hideous and geeky Q5.  The more powerful version of the Q5 CUV is called the Audi SQ5 TSI and it is powered by a gasoline engine that won’t be available in Europe.  The Europeans get the diesel SQ5 powered by a 3.0 liter TDI V6 engine producing 308 horsepower and 479 pound-feet (650 Nm) of torque, which was introduced last year.

First Arab Supercar – W Motors Lykan Hypersport

Most of you guys including myself have never even heard of W Motors, which was founded in Beirut and is now based in the UAE. When we think of Arab money, most people automatically think about exotic sports cars like Lamborghini’s, Ferrari’s, Porsche’s, and Aston Martin’s to name a few. Although not very well known, W Motors is the first middle eastern car manufacturer producing luxury supercars.

W Motors Lykan Hypersport is their latest vehicle which was revealed at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show with a jaw-dropping price tag of $3.4 million. This hefty price tag will include a “complimentary” $200,000 special edition Cyrus Klepcy watch. W Motors LykanHypersport will be only limited to seven units and chances of it being sold out before even being seen by its future owners is likely, very likely. W Motors was created by Lebanese entrepreneur, Ralph R Debbas, and partners Magna Steyr of Germany and technicians from RUF.
