German tuners, AC Schnitzer, has unveiled their take on the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe called the ACS4 Gran Coupe. We wrote about the 4-Series Gran Coupe a while back and is a great improvement when compared to the hideous 3-Series Gran Turismo. What I like about the ACS4 Ground Coupe is that the performance upgrades and styling enhancements are minimal yet still attention grabbing.
The ACS4 Gran Coupe is available in six different engines and each one produces more horsepower than the standard production model. The BMW 420i by AC Schnitzer produces an additional 60hp bringing the total to 241hp. After the modifications, the 428i produces 290 horsepower, an increase of 48hp. The BMW 435i is boosted by 43hp making it a 345 horsepower. So not massive gains but still noticeable in your daily drives. All three petrol engines come with an upgraded intercooler.
When people modify their car, one thing that is difficult to achieve is the right exhaust note. Some sounds are like music to the ears while others make your ears bleed. AC Schnitzer offers a “silencer” which is available in ‘Racing’, ‘Racing Evo’, and ‘Sport’. Have a listen below.

AC Schnitzer also enhanced the diesel lineup starting with the BMW 420d which now produces an additional 33 horsepower bringing the total to 215hp. The 430d is boosted by 50hp bringing the total to 305hp while the BMW 435d gains 46hp for a grand total of 355 horsepower.
The BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe by AC Schnitzer also includes some enhancements to the suspension setup. The suspension spring kit lowers the 4-Series by up to 25mm up front and 10-25mm at the back. If you want to go even lower, their racing suspension setup will lower the front by 30-40mm and the rear by 25-40mm.
In terms of esthetics, AC Schnitzer has kept things minimalistic by only adding a new front spoiler, rear diffuser, carbon mirror covers, rear skirt protective film, and a chromed front grille. As for the interior, the tuner offers upgrades such as an aluminum handbrake handle and a gear knob which is available in either a knob with digital gear display, aluminum ‘Black Line’ gear know, or an illuminated leather gear knob.
