Just a couple of weeks ago, we wrote about a couple of different fans like the Cooling Mist Fan and Haiku Smart Fan. Now those fans are great for cooling down an entire room but different people have different preferences. My wife for example likes a cold bed for sleeping but when she gets up in the middle of the night to grab a drink or use the washroom, she would rather have the temperature of our apartment on the warmer side. Unfortunately you can’t have it all so you have to get gadgets to do various tasks. In my wife’s example, the Bed Fan would be something ideal for our little situation.
Unfortunately She Does Not Come with the Bed Fan
As the name would suggest, the Bed Fan is designed to keep the bed cool without affecting the temperature of the bedroom. The fan circulates air under the sheets to disperse built-up body heat and keep you nice and comfortable all night. Although I’m not as picky, I love a cold bed and that’s when I’m able to have the best sleep.
The Bed Fan can be setup at either the sides of the bed or at the foot of the bed and it moves air moving between your top and bottom sheets. And for someone like myself who truly enjoys eating beans, this movement of air is ideal in the middle of the night when the side effects of the beans kick in. I know my wife would welcome this fan! The Bed Fan comes with a small wireless remote which is powered by two AA batteries. The wireless remote is able to control the dual fans which can move up to 680 feet of air in a minute. If you had night sweats in the past, that won’t be an issue anymore. The wireless remote is also backlit upon touch so you can see what you’re doing.
The Bed Fan is also adjustable so it doesn’t really matter what height your bed is as it is designed to work with a variety of bed frams and it is able to clear thick to ultra-thick mattresses. There are adjustable tabs along the sides that notch and lock to hold the height in place. And because it’s flat against the bed, you are able to drape blankets and comforters over it. The reversible base of the Bed Fan actually draws air from underneath the bed.
The device only weighs in at 4.8 pounds and was available for $99.99 on Amazon, however… if you’ve seen the Brookstone Bed Fan lawsuit news, well… now you know why they’re no longer selling it.
