Sexy Kia Ads – Too Hot For Air Conditioning

We’ve been talking about a lot of Kia’s new offerings recently, but I thought if we were going to round out the full experience we’d need some good old fashioned, super inappropriate sexy Kia ads. These hypersexualized ads were created by Brazilian (go figure) Moma Advertising company and actually won 2011 Cannes Lion awards. However, Kia immediately disassociated themselves, calling the advertisements “offensive” and promising they would never be used in North America. I don’t know about you, but I don’t really think these ads make any men feel “offended” in the pants.

The ads are a spoof on one of the features of the Kia Sportage, which is a dual climate control system that allows you to set  different temperatures for the driver and the passengers in the vehicle. In apropos fashion, these sexy Kia ads have a disconcertingly child like scene on one side of the panel, and an adult version with bad porn worthy dialogue on the opposite. Maybe I’m an uncouth cad, but I think these advertisements are absolutely hilarious and wish there was more of this sort of thing out there. I’m also unsure why Kia didn’t snap these up immediately… if sexy is offensive, then Kia’s 5 hour video of a scantily clad Adriana Lima should be positively unacceptable. (Yes…. Kia did take the supermodel flag girl from their “A Dream Car for Real Life” commercial and loop it for 5 full HD hours.)

Author, Designer, and "that girl your mother warned you about." Looking good seems to be my job, whether it's working with the site design, or a number of other more interesting capacities. I have a ridiculous sense of humour and a brutal sense of honesty- you'll see a lot of that coming through in my writing, so don't say I didn't warn you if I somehow manage to offend you AND hurt your feelings at the same time. On the plus side, it makes my dating and advice columns a lot more pertinent to an unfinished man in the real world.
