No Mercy Trailer – Assassin’s Creed Revelations

Continuing their recent tradition of fight scenes and banging electronic beats, Ubisoft has release a brand new Assassin’s Creed: Revelations video showing an older and wiser Ezio Auditore fighting off a slew of enemies in new and exciting ways. We see more of his latest weapon, the hook blade, and we see novel new – or rather, old – gadgets, such as the parachute. There’s actually a scene where Ezio is para-gliding with his parachute behind a wagon! Tired after months of stressful swordplay again a fierce and relentless enemy, Ezio and Leonardo kick back for some sun, drinking, and drunken wagon drawn para-gliding. Well, that’s what I keep telling myself, anyway.

The video shows much what we’ve come to expect from the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but I get the impression that Ubisoft is stepping up their game for this title. Brotherhood was fairly solid, but given that Ubisoft has decided to make this the final chapter in the Ezio saga, I’m betting that they have every intention of ending the series – or at least this round of games – on a high note. Among other things, I’m glad that we’ll once again be able to step into the shoes of Altair. For all of Ezio’s charm and grace, I felt like Altair was simply more of a bad-ass.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations arrives on store shelves November 15th, 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3, and most importantly, the PC platform. If you decide to pre-order the game, shop around a bit. Vendors are offering different incentives to purchase the game from them, such as a copy of the soundtrack, new multiplayer characters, and a slew of other useless trinkets that you probably don’t care about.
