I’m no shisha/hookah connoisseur but I do enjoy the occasional smoke here and there. I actually talked about my hookah experience a while back and we’ve featured a couple of fancy devices such as the Porsche Design Shisha and the Etienne LeRoy Shisha. I thought those hookahs were fancy but boy was I wrong! The Desvall Shisha is apparently the most expensive in the world selling for a staggering $60,000.
Desvall is offering unique pieces with state of the art engineering while incorporating traditional craftsmanship. Each Desvall Shisha is milled out of a solid block of metal with tolerances down to five hundred of a millimeter. Each metal piece sanded and polished by hand and then individually coated.
Desvall Black Shisha
The Desvall Black Shisha features a metallic black tower while the highlight of the shisha is the 24k gold plated ring featuring Swarovski crystals. For those of you who think Swarovski crystals are something fancy, they’re not. It’s simply leaded glass, nothing more. The black edition also features a high-quality leather pipe.
Desvall Chrome Shisha
For this edition, the entire tower of the Shisha plated in chrome including the central ring. This one also features Swarovski crystals while the pipe is made out of handcrafted white leather.
Desvall Gold Shisha
This is where things start to get a little pricey. The entire tower of the shisha is plated in 24k gold and the central ring again features lots of crystals. The use of white leather adds some nice contrast to the entire setup.
Desvall Crystal Black Shisha
I actually prefer the look of the Crystal Black since it features a glass smoke chamber which is the look I’m more accustom to. This one does not feature god awful crystals which give it the “cheesy factor”. Each glass vase is hand-blown by Orrefors in Sweden.
Desvall Crystal Chrome Shisha
Same as the Crystal Black but in chrome and the glass comes in a different color. The look of this is also pretty cool. I like how the chrome and glass have a nice contrast.
Desvall Crystal Gold Shisha
Featuring a 24k gold plated tower and features a glass smoke chamber. This one also has the embedded Swarovski crystals. Not my thing!
Desvall Custom Shisha
If you have money to blow, you can set up a one-on-one meeting with the company and they can help you design something that costs as high as $100,000. I’m sure it can get even higher if you’re willing to ice it out with some big ass diamonds. For more details, check out Desvall.
