Volkswagen Tanner Foust Racing ENEOS RWB Beetle

I’m not particularity a fan of the new-generation of Volkswagen Beetles but the modified versions of the old school Beetles can be pretty nice. In many cases, even the ugliest of factory vehicles can be rescued with the proper aerodynamics kits and proper performance tuning. The Volkswagen Tanner Foust Racing ENEOS RWB Beetle is a great example of a mediocre vehicle being transformed into something respectable.

Akira Nakai of Japanese tuning house RAUH-Welt Begriff and Top Gear USA host Tanner Foust have teamed to create this beastly Beetle. This bright-orange modified Beetle first had its exterior beauty taken care of with a body kit that widened the vehicle by eight inches allowing room for custom 18-inch Motegi Racing Traklite wheels.

Unfortunately, there is no mention of whether there were any engine modifications to this Beetle. It would be a real shame to have something look so aggressive and muscular yet nothing to show for it under the hood. Would Tanner Foust really drive around in a vehicle that had no engine mods? Come on Mr. Foust, don’t hold back on us! Enjoy the gallery below.

By the way, the yellow and black Beetle in the gallery is the Global Rallycross Beetle is pushing 560 horsepower and of course is all-wheel drive. I wouldn’t mind 560hp in the bright-orange Beetle!
