Vespa 946 Scooter 1

2013 Vespa 946 Scooter

We don’t often write about scooters here at Unfinished Man because scooters are mainly for getting from point A to B, not a very interesting mode of transportation.  But when it comes to Vespa scooters, well… they’re cool, even though they come with small engines and just get you from point A to B.

The 2013 Vespa 946 scooter (no it’s not powered by a 946 cc engine) takes its design inspirations from the original World War II era MP6 prototype with modern-day technology.  The Vespa 946’s monocoque is made out of

Flying Hovercraft

The Flying Hovercraft

I’ve always been fascinated with hovercrafts, I don’t really know why?  Maybe because a hovercraft is a boat that flies/glides over water and land, and who doesn’t like a flying boat?  A normal hovercraft is cool but the “Flying Hovercraft”, shown here, not only glides over water and land; it actually takes flight like a plane.

The Flying Hovercraft does everything a regular hovercraft can do but it can also fly up to 50 feet above ground and reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.  The flying hovercraft takes flight with the help of two lightweight integrated wings and is powered by a fuel-injected turbocharged twin-cylinder engine that produces 130 horsepower.  The flying boat can carry a payload of up to 600 pounds and has a range of 160 miles.

Luxury Motor Home Monaco Vesta 2 PBS

2011 Monaco Vesta 32 PBS – Ultimate Luxury Road Trip Motor Home

Luxury Motor Home Monaco Vesta 2 PBS

I’ve always wanted to do a road trip from British Columbia all the way down to Miami, FL and I think I’m going to skip out on renting an SUV and go all out (if finances permit). The new Monaco Vesta 2 PBS takes road trips to a whole new level with the ridiculous amount of luxury that can be found on board the luxury motor home.

The Monaco Vesta luxury motor home is a beast on the road measuring 8-feet in width, 32-feet in length, and 11-feet and 7-inches in height. The motor home features a massive 6.4 liter V8 diesel engine mated to an Allison 2500 MH transmission, full air suspension, and air brakes. The engine maker for this vehicle, Navistar, have developed an engine that produces low emissions and offers better fuel efficiency through advanced EGR emission controls. In this class of motor homes, diesel coaches are generally pretty uneconomical when it comes to burning fuel.

The Jungle Yacht – Explore Like Attilio Gatti

Any man worth his salt knows that an old machine is a good machine. It’s reliable, it’s got flair, and most of all it brings a certain bold arrogance to anything it does. I’m talking your 66’ Shelby Mustangs and the Triumph Café Racers, bold machines for bold men. Now, as I’m in the market for a travel vehicle to help me drive around the 48 continental United States, I’ve stumbled upon a little gem. Gentlemen, I give you “The Jungle Yacht”!

This beauty hails from a time when men were men, and your summer travel included hiking through the Congo. Created by International Harvester, this beauty was a custom home on wheels for Italian explorer Commander Attilo Gatti and

Bio Bug – Car Powered By Human Poo

This little bugger will literally blow away the competition.

Crap flushed down the toilet from 70 homes is enough to power this car for 10,000 miles and has a top speed of 114 mph. Named the “Bio Bug”, this 2.0 liter VW Beetle is developed by Mohammed Saddiq of GENeco, a sustainable energy firm based in Bristol. Vehicles powered by methane gas is nothing new but what makes the Bio Bug unique is the fact that performance is not affected. What’s even cooler is the fact that the company is working on developing an engine that will also run on food waste, which would make this the most sustainable car around. The car is also able to run on standard petroleum if methane gas happens to be out.  My only two concerns with this car are the fact that they picked a VW Beetle as the prototype and the smell of the exhaust fumes. Last night was Mexican dinner and I’d be very concerned for public safety.

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 5-door Official Photos

The Land Rover Evoque was first introduced in the summer of 2010, I believe the interior is designed by Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) or something like that, I don’t really pay attention to celebrities and their BS lives.  The original Evoque was a small 3-door SUV, that format used to be quite popular a couple of decades ago, not sure why it isn’t popular anymore.  Now Land Rover has released official pictures of the bigger Range Rover Evoque 5-doors, ahead of the LA Auto Show.  The five-door Evoque will go on sale after the three-door model sometime next year.

The 5-door Range Rover Evoque looks just like its little brother but is three inches taller and has the typical lines of a cross-over utility vehicles rather than the masculine look of the full-sized Range Rover SUV.
