Nootropics Depot Review – Are They Really the Best Supplements Vendor?

If you’re interested in supplements, nootropics, body composition, or anything else related to human enhancement, you’ve probably heard of Nootropics Depot. In fact, if you’re on /r/nootropics, then I can pretty much guarantee you’ve heard of them. But are they actually any good?

It would be an understatement to say that they’ve been a polarizing company over the years,. If you look up Nootropics Depot on Reddit, you’ll frequently find customers singing their praises. Great prices, fast shipping, and a wide selection of products are some of the comments I see frequently.

But there are also those that seem to loathe them as a company, with complaints ranging from low quality products to outright lies by the staff.

So what’s the deal with Nootropics Depot?

What you’re about to hear is just one man’s opinion, and though I have no inside scoop on them as a company, I have chatted at length with a number of their staff over the years and would like to share my thoughts.

So let me start off by saying quite simply that I think they’re a fantastic company, and here’s why:

  • They have a massive selection of products, everything from common supplements like creatine to rare ones like Emoxypine.
  • Their prices are generally the best, especially when you account for what you’re getting. I’ll talk about this more shortly.
  • The owner is extremely knowledgeable and frequently makes himself available on Reddit to answer questions. His staff are also fantastic.
  • Nootropics Depot generally ships within a few hours, and their orders arrive quickly, even for people that live outside the United States.

Having been a customer of theirs since the early Ceretropic days – their previous company that offered more exotic products – I’ve placed many orders and obviously used their products extensively.

Why do some people dislike them?

I believe that the reason that Nootropics Depot gets so much grief from a vocal minority is because they make a point of calling out bad actors and frequently publish concrete data showing just how poorly the supplements industry is regulated, and just how crappy many of the products on the market are.

Many of the products you’ll find elsewhere are either absurdly underfilled, meaning that you’re not getting anywhere close to the amount you’re paying for, or they’re straight up unsafe to consume, having never been analyzed for heavy metal content and other kinds of contaminants.

This is the state of the industry.

To see a company do otherwise? Well, it’s no surprise that they have detractors, and I suspect that the vast majority of them are simply their competitors trying to knock them down a peg.

So if you want my opinion in a nutshell, it’s this: Nootropics Depot is a fantastic company, and I’ll continue to buy from them for as long as that’s the case. I think they’ve been a driver of positive change in this industry, and I hope that more companies follow suit with better testing, analytics, selection, and prices. Aside from them, the situation is pretty grim.
