My Favorite Champagne Cocktails for a Perfect Date Night

This post was brought to you by Andre Champagne. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Unfinished Man.

As a blogger, I’ve been fortunate enough to fly, drive, boat, and cycle around the world. I’ve had a chance to meet incredible people, eat delicious food, and of course… sample a wide range of delicious wines, beers, and cocktails.

There’s a perfect drink for every occasion. I drink beers when I’m back home watching the game with my friends. I drink my trusty rum and coke or vodka soda when I’m out at the club.

As for date night? I’m a big fan of making champagne cocktails.

Andre Champagne in particular has become my ingredient of choice for date night cocktails.

It’s a delicious and often underused ingredient, which means champagne is the perfect cocktail base to impress your lady friend or long-time love on a date night at home. So with that in mind, here are a few of my favorite simple-to-make champagne-based cocktail recipes.

Champagne Cocktail

Yes, it’s simply called a Champagne Cocktail. All you need to do is place a sugar cube in a chilled champagne flute, lash the flute with 2 or 3 dashes of Angostura bitters, fill the glass with Andre’s Brut Champagne, and squeeze a lemon twist on top. Pretty simple, right? You’ll love it; she’ll love it. Perfection!

French 75

Ah, a true classic. Here’s what you need…

  • 2 ounces gin — London dry gin
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 5 ounces Brut champagne
  • Collins glass

All you need to do is shake well with cracked ice in a chilled cocktail shaker, then strain into a Collins glass half-full of cracked ice and top off with 5 ounces of Andre’s Brut champagne. This is the drink of choice if you want to add a little sophistication to the evening. Here’s what you need to make

Atomic Cocktail

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces brandy — brandy
  • 1 teaspoon sherry
  • 1 1/2 ounces Brut champagne

Just stir the vodka, brandy, and sherry with cracked ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass and add 2 ounces of cold Andre Brut champagne. Yes, there’s a trend here; it’s true! That’s it… really.

You’re So Fancy

These are all pretty simple, right? I promise they’re all amazing, and they’re sure to impress even the most jaded cocktail enthusiasts. Champagne is a fantastic beverage on its own, but it also makes for a versatile ingredient in a wide range of cocktails. I’ve only just scratched the surface with these 3 drink recipes, but I hope they inspire you to try more champagne-based drinks with #EpicWithAndre.
