Introducing the Amazon Echo Show

It seems like Amazon makes more leaps and bounds every week being a bigger retail powerhouse than anyone would imagine. You probably remember when the Amazon Echo came out and how it was revolutionary for customers as well as Amazon. Then they took it a step further by creating the Amazon Echo Dot. Both of these things are great devices that give you a lot of flexibility, but now Amazon is releasing yet another product of the Echo line and this one is sure to make big splashes.

You can buy the Echo Show for $229.99 and you can purchase it in black or in white. You might be thinking, if you already have an Alexa Echo, why you want yet another item, but the reason for that is because the Echo Show does completely different things and has totally new features that you were never able to do on the regular Echo.

The biggest difference with the Echo Show is the camera capabilities and improved speakers. While you can still do all the things you could do with the regular Echo, you now have even more options. You can video chat or call family and friends, view live feeds on the Echo Show all only using your voice.

You also will have a new feature call drop in. What this means is once your contacts enable it, you’ll be able to ask the Echo Show to ‘drop in’ on a contact, sort of like a call but you can only do it if they’re currently active. This is an interesting feature that’s never quite been done before so it’ll be interesting how useful people find it.

Like the regular Echo, you’ll be able to listen to music through Amazon Music, Spotify, I Heart Radio, Pandora, Tune In and more, ask it the time, set timers, flip coins or any other of the basic features. Also, now when you listen to music you’ll actually be able to view the lyrics on the screen, which is another great added bonus of the Echo Show.

Now, you’ll also be able to control things in your house like lights, thermometers, turn on the fan, the sprinklers or any number of other things to turn your home into a real smart house.

Because of its video capabilities, you can also watch YouTube videos, Amazon video, movie trailers and more without ever having to lift a finger.

The biggest improvement on the current Echo is the speakers. The original Echo wasn’t intended to have amazing speakers, it was first a home assistant and then a speaker, but the Echo Show improves on this using rom-filling Dolby processing speakers for crisp vocals and a more extended bass.

The Echo Show is sure to be a hit, so get yours while you still can. At $300, it almost seems like a bargain.
