Greubel Forsey GMT Tourbillon

Greubel Forsey GMT Tourbillon Watch

Since I like to read and sometimes write about some of the finest luxury watches from around the world, I’d like to think I know about …

ORIS Tubbataha

Oris Tubbataha Regulator Dive Watch

A few years ago I was actively searching for a good deal on an Oris watch, I don’t know what happened but I stopped looking and forgot all about Oris watches.  After seeing the brand new limited edition Oris Tubbataha Regulator Dive Watch, the Oris bug is back.

The watch is named after Tubbataha Reefs National Park in the Philippines (I’m having a hard time pronouncing the name), which is home to some of the most amazing coral reefs in the world.  Partial proceeds from the sale of these watches will go to the conservation of the reefs in Tubbataha Park.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Captain's Watch

OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain’s Watch”

Like most of our readers, I don’t follow golf but do love watches.  In the golfing world there is a big event called the Ryder Cup that takes place every other year and pits the best golfers from the United States against Europe’s finest.  No prize money is awarded to the winning team but they do get bragging rights.  This year’s event, in September, will feature Omega as the official timekeeper and Omega has introduced a new watch for this event.

The watch is called the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain’s Watch” and will be worn by team USA’s captain Davis Love III.  I’m not sure whether this watch is a one-off or will it be offered to the general public.

CST 01 Watch

CST-01 – The World’s Thinnest Watch With E Ink

Over the years, we’ve written about dozens upon dozens of watches ranging from affordable to the not so affordable. Today’s featured watched is a Kickstarter project and is the world’s thinnest watch. And when they say thinnest, they really mean it. The E Ink display is placed on a flexible stainless steel band which measures in at only 0.8mm thick.

The CST-01 is a minimalist watch that is refined, simple, and sleek. All of the components for the watch have been etched into a 0.5mm stainless steel band. To make the watch as thin as possible, there are no knobs and buttons on the device. Settings the time and even charging the watch is done on a separate base station which is included. The CST-01 watch can also be viewed in a 24 hour time format and this feature can be changed from the base station.
