Lange Grand Lange 1 watches

A. Lange & Sohne Grand Lange 1 Lumen Watch

I’m not too familiar with the German watchmaker A. Lange & Sohne; in fact, this is the first article I’m writing about them.  The German watchmaker is known for their high-end watches and from what I gather, most of their watches don’t come with luminescent, making them hard/impossible to read at night.  Their latest watch, the Grand Lange 1 Lumen, does come with that magical glowing stuff, hence the name “Lumen”.

According to my research, the A. Lange & Sohne Grand Lange 1 Lumen watch is not a totally new watch; it takes bits and pieces/ideas from other A. Lange watches.

Omega Planet Ocean GMT Watches

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GoodPlanet GMT Watch

The Planet Ocean watches by Omega are not the most visually exciting watches, but they are quite popular.  The latest watch in the line, the Omega Planet Ocean GoodPlanet GMT, does add a bit of visual flair to the watch with a blue dial and offsetting orange color on the bezel and the fourth hand.

The watch is called “GoodPlanet” to celebrate Omega’s work with the environmentalist group Good Planet Foundation, the two organizations have worked together since 2011.  The watch’s release also coincides with the release of “Planet Ocean” movie (onto DVD, I believe); the movie is directed by Yan Arthur-Bartand.
