Jaguar XFR-S Sports Sedan

Join The Dark Side with The 2014 Jaguar XFR-S

The Jaguar XFR is a pretty potent sports sedan with lots of horsepower and pretty good looks, but the good folks at Jaguar didn’t stop there, they just introduced an even more powerful version of the sedan, the Jaguar XFR-S.

Like the XKR-S coupe, the XFR-S is powered by a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 engine producing 542 horsepower and 502 pound-feet (680 Nm) of torque, that’s 40 HP and 41 lb-ft more than the XFR.  Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.  According to Jaguar, the XFR-S sprints to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph; compared to 4.7 seconds 0-60 and 155 mph top speed of the XFR.  This monster of a car is the fastest and most powerful production Jaguar sedan ever.

Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible

Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible

British luxury automaker, Bentley, has just unveiled a very fast version of the Continental GT convertible.  Like the coupe, the Continental GT Speed Convertible gets some sweet go fast goodies, making this car the world’s fastest 4-seat convertible.

The Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is powered by a 6.0 liter twin-turbo 12-cylinder (W12) engine that produces a massive 616 horsepower and 590 pound-feet (800 Nm) of torque.  Power is sent to all four wheels (40/60 front/rear bias) via an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.  This car has lots of power but it is also very heavy, weighing in at around

2014 Aston Martin Rapide S

Aston Martin Rapide S

The Aston Martin Rapide S sports sedan has been in production since 2010 and is one of my favorite high-end sedans; I can’t believe we haven’t written about these cars on Unfinished Man.  For 2014, the car gets a new letter added to its name; the car is now called the Aston Martin Raidpe S.

The “S” either stands for Sexy or Sport, I’m thinking the later, and the car gets an extra stable of ponies under the hood.  The Rapide S is powered by a V12 engine producing 550 horsepower (80 more than the old car) and 457 pound-feet (620 Nm) of torque (an increase of 14 lb-ft).  The Aston Martin Rapide S does the 0 – 60 mph sprint in 4.7 seconds, an improvement of 0.4 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 190 miles per hour (306 km/h).

2014 Volkswagen Golf GTI MK7

I’ve never been a fan of the Volkswagen family and I have always seen them as overpriced and just average vehicles. The 2014 Volkswagen Golf GTI (MK7) was recently unveiled in its production trim and looks quite similar to the previous generation MK6. Perhaps the GTI MK8 will have more drastic changes. The 2014 VW Golf GTI gets the standard upgrades over the regular model such as red accents on the front grille, smoked LED tail lights, honeycomb grille inserts, a twin pipe exhaust, rear spoiler, diffuser, and side skirts. The GTI also sits on a pretty nice set of 17-inch alloy wheels.

The interior should be similar to the previous generation of the Golf GTI with the base model featuring the classic tartan pattern fabric for the sport seats, black headliner, flat bottom steering wheel, and red ambient interior lighting.
