2013 VW Golf Mk7 1

2013 Volkswagen Golf Mk7

The Volkswagen Golf is one of the most popular small cars around the world; I always see at least one of these cars when I go for a drive.  The Golf has been around since 1974 and has developed a cult-like following with a huge tuner market.  Each new model has been getting a little bigger and a bit more luxurious and the all-new 7th generation 2013 Volkswagen Golf MK7 is no exception.  The car will be officially unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

2013 SRT Viper Venom 700R Hennessey Performance

Beastly 1,120HP 2013 SRT Viper by Hennessey Performance

If the 2013 SRT Viper producing 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque isn’t enough, perhaps the folks over at Hennessey Performance may be able to help you out. Hennessey Performance has a couple of tuning packages that can squeeze every little juice out of the massive 8.4-liter V10 engine.

The two packages are called the ‘Venom 700R’ and the ‘Venom 1000 Twin Turbo’. The Venom 700R package includes “mild” modifications which increase the output from 640hp to an impressive 725hp while the torque is increased by 95 for a grand total of 695 lb-ft. That translates to the 0-60mph dash in only 3.1 seconds while the quarter mile being achieved in 10.7 seconds and a top speed of 218mph. Not bad, not bad at all.

Rolls Royce Ghost 1001 Nights 1

Rolls Royce Ghost One Thousand and One Nights

The East is rising in economic power, if you didn’t know this piece of breaking news, you can go to any of the major luxury automobile brands’ websites and have a look at all the special edition cars they’re churning out made specifically for the “Eastern countries” – mainly China and oil-rich Middle Eastern countries.

Today Rolls Royce released pictures of a special edition of the already pretty special Ghost sedan for the Middle East market.  The car is called the Rolls Royce Ghost One Thousand and One Nights edition, part of a new line of

Toyota ‘Spiral 86’ by Abflug

The Toyota 86/GT86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ has been a pretty hot seller, especially the Scion FR-S in North America. For those of you who are unaware, the vehicles I just mentioned are all the same but with different badges depending on which part of the world you are in. And the suspension setup is also unique to each brand. While the vehicle is affordable and a great bang for the buck when it comes to handling and the rear wheel drive factor but it does lack a bit of power.

The 200 stock horsepower is plenty to whip around in and truly enjoy the vehicle but there is still room for improvement and the folks over at Abflug couldn’t agree more. The Japanese tuner has come up with a performance and styling package for the vehicle and is calling it the Toyota ‘Spiral 86’ which will be formally revealed to the general public at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon in January.

Scion FR-S GRMN SPORTS FR Concept Platinum by Gazoo

For the past year and probably next few years, it’s looking like the Toyota 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BR-Z will be the car of choice in the car tuning arena. We’ve already seen so many concepts and variants released by a number of companies and it looks like the trend will continue after Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s tuning partner, revealed their GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. The first vehicle this Scion FR-S concept reminds me of is the legendary Toyota Supra and until Toyota brings that car back, this will have to do.

Mcchip Mercedes C63 AMG

Interesting Look, Insane Power – Mcchip-DKR Mercedes C63 AMG

I was going to start off by bashing the paint scheme on this McChip-DKR Mercedes C63 AMG but I actually ended up liking the way it looks after viewing the pictures a few times. It’s funny how that works and as they say, it’s not what’s on the outside, what matters is what’s on the inside. In the case of this Mercedes C63 AMG, what’s on the inside matters very much actually. The C63 AMG in stock form already produces an impressive 480 horsepower from it’s 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine.

I guess the German technicians at McChip-DKR were not impressed by the stock numbers and they were able to increase the power on Mercedes C63 AMG by just over 25 percent. Instead of simply remapping the ECU to squeeze all the power out of the vehicle, the guys decided to strap on a supercharger system and a new custom exhaust system which resulted in increasing the power on the C63 AMG to a massive 650 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of peak torque.

2014 Rolls Royce Wraith

Rolls Royce Wraith Coupe

Today we bring you yet another reason to consider selling your soul or other valuable items you may or may not own; this time you’ll need all that money for the all-new Rolls Royce Wraith Coupe, based on the Ghost sedan.  The Wraith is definitely not a looker, it’s more of a “look at me, I’m sexy successful and I know it” car.  It’s an okay looking car and if I had a rich dad or I was a CEO of a large bank, and “needed” a luxury coupe, I’d definitely choose the Wraith over a Bentley Continental GT.
