The 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans race is just around the corner; the big news this year is the return of Porsche to the endurance race. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Porsche has released a limited edition 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition.
The Martini racing livery is one of the most famous in racing and is very eye catching, it is one my personal favorites. The Williams F1 racing team currently partners with Marini and their cars look absolutely fantastic. Martini also has a long history with Porsche, the 1971 Martini Racing Porsche 917 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, and Porsche also used Martini Racing colors on the 918 Spyder.
The Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition cars are limited to 80 units worldwide and come in black or white paint; personally I’d pick the white if given the opportunity. The cars come with the famous red and white Martini stripes on the hood, roof, and sides with a big Martini logo on the hood.
The 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter flat-six engine, producing 400 horsepower and reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.1 seconds. The cars are equipped with PDK dual-clutch transmissions, Sport Chrono Package, and Aerokit Cup Package.
The limited edition Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition cars will go on sale this month, no word on pricing yet. Via: Porsche
