A couple of weeks ago we showed you the new for 2014 Mazda3 hatchback; a car that looks pretty good in pictures and hopefully is just as good in person and is fun to drive.  Now it’s time for the Mazda3 Sedan, thanks to images from Top Gear Russia.

The Mazda3 sedan looks like the hatchback at the front, of course the side and rear is different; the overall design looks like the Mazda6 sedan, which is a pretty good looking car.  Now, there are some people that prefer sedans over hatchbacks and vice versa.  Personally, I like the look of the Mazda3 hatchback over the sedan, but that’s just me.  The hatchback looks sportier and more European; I think the hatch will outsell the sedan.

As for powertrains, the Mazda3 Sedan will be powered by the same engines offered on the hatchback; a 2.0 liter SKY-ACTIV producing 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.5 liter SKY-ACTIV engine producing 185 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque.

The Mazda3 Sedan and Hatchback will be available in September.

I’m glad they’ve gotten away from that smiley-face front grill.

Is that tablet thing in the dash built-in or removable?

Yeah, that smiley face was annoying. As for the tablet, I believe it’s built-in, like some of the BMWs from the previous generation.
