The world’s most expensive shisha I wrote about a few years ago has now been replaced by an even pricier model. Both of these smoking devices are made by the same company, Desvall. For the most part, a pipe is a pipe but the super rich need a way to distinguish their pipe from the average Joe hookah that you and I smoke.
The Bugatti by Desvall is a collaboration between the two companies in creating a piece of art that is easy on the eyes, smokes beautifully, and expensive enough to require financing options. The smoking apparatus is described as the ultimate statement for shisha connoisseurs which combines Bugatti Veyron’s pioneering performance and heritage and Desvall’s iconic craftsmanship and design.
The handmade Desvall Bugatti Shisha stands at 31.50 inches in height and is made in Sweden by premier artisans and boasts of a pure titanium frame, carbon fiber outer casing, and hand sewn leather encasing. Compare that to the standard Desvall shisha’s which are built out of traditional glass and steel. This particular model of the shisha features precision machined parts including the patented technology which allows the hose to rotate 360 degrees around the base.
Just like the limited edition Bugatti Veyron, this Desvall Bugatti Shisha is only limited to 150 units. I appreciate the quality of materials being used in this smoking device with some of it being very expensive but a $100,000 for a smoking device is a bit of an overkill. I have a feeling that even the folks that can afford the Veyron couldn’t justify paying that much for a shisha.
I’ve never smoked from a titanium shisha but I highly doubt the difference is very noticeable. I’ll admit though, it is a handsome looking smoking device.
