Ressence Type 1 V Genesis Watches

Last year we wrote about the Ressence Type 1 watch, which was based on the original Ressence Type 3 with a few minor changes. This year we get a new limited edition of the Type 1 watch, which celebrates the 5th anniversary of Ressence watches. The new watch is called the Ressence Type 1 V Genesis and is limited to only 5 pieces.

The Type 1 V Genesis is exactly like the regular Type 1 watch, except it comes in raw form. Most of the visible parts of the watch have been left untreated to give them an even more of an industrial look.

The dial has been sandblasted and the hands have been galvanized to give them contract against the raw metal background. The case is also left untreated and shows marks from the milling process, even the indentations for the hours/minutes etc haven’t been filled with luminous material. The brown calf leather strap has also been left untreated, which should naturally change colors as the watch ages.

Below is short video of how the Ressence watch works and how to wind it and change time.

The limited edition Ressence Type 1 V Genesis watches are priced at 18,750 Euros each, or about $21,000 US at today’s exchange rate. Via: Ressence
