Almost every single night, the wife and I try to convince each other to reach up and turn off the light. It’s a pretty simple thing to do but for some odd reason, both of us have no interest in completing the simple task. Maybe it’s laziness but I sure do hate it when I get all comfortable in bed and almost ready to fall asleep but realize that lights are still on. I could go with the “Clap On/Clap Off” device but that’s kind of lame.
Thankfully, there are geeks at work who have come up with the Wireless Light Switch. The device is a regular looking switch but it also happens to be portable. Now you don’t have to get out of bed, head towards the door, and turn off the light. And no more of sitting up in bed, and reaching over to the side table where the lamp is located. Nope, the switch is right next to you for your convenience. If you’re not lazy enough to simply reach over, you should be good to go.
Setting up the Wireless Light Switch is pretty simple and only involves attaching the wireless remote component to the electrical device that you would like to control and you’re done. It also has some pretty good range and will work from up to a 100 feet away which is quite impressive. That’s actually a better range than some of my wireless speakers I have reviewed in the past.
The Wireless Light Switch is available for $150 on Fancy. Is it worth the money? Not at all but it’s convenience for the lazy who are willing to cough up the money.
