If there’s one thing I’ve been slacking on, it’s putting together and sharing awesome contests with you guys. I’m sorry… but I’m going to make it up to you right away! So let me ask you, do you like music?
Here’s the deal: music creators and fans can enter daily into the Team Up With Timbaland Sweepstakes where they have a chance to win Lenovo products, other cool tech/music gear, and last but not least the Sweepstakes’ Grand Prize: A trip for two to L.A. complete with two “Weekend One 3-Day VIP Passes” to one of the largest, most popular, California music festivals – Coachella!
The contest runs until October 22nd, and winners of the grand prize will be experiencing Coachella on April 10-12.
Pretty awesome, right? That could be you up there. Even if you don’t win the trip to Coachella, you’ll have a shot at winning a ton of cool gadgets and gear from Lenovo and Microsoft. Not bad for a few seconds of work.
The Whole Story
Here’s the whole story explaining the contest, who’s involved, and why exactly these guys are running such a grandiose contest.
Last month, Lenovo and Microsoft teamed up with Timbaland to create a contest that not only empowered independent music artists, but their fans as well.
Since then, over 5,000 Independent singers, song-writers, and music artists have entered to be contestants in the Team Up With Timbaland Song Contest, presented by Lenovo and Microsoft. Celebrity shout-outs from the likes of Missy Elliot, Lil Kim and Snoop Dogg have only increased the contest’s popularity. Fans have been sharing and voting for their favorite original tracks and artists since August 27th to give them an edge in the competition.
Timbaland and a team of judges are currently in the process of reviewing the best songs, and selecting the top five (5) finalists from among them based on their creativity, originality and recording appeal. The five (5) finalists will be announced around mid-October, and they will each be given a two-week surprise musical challenge to determine the winner, selected by Timbaland. The artist who wins the final challenge gets the ultimate Song Contest prize: A day in the recording studio with Timbaland in Miami.
