What It Takes to Become a Happy White Man

What does it take to become a happy white man?

Introduction to race

Being a white man, black woman, or anything in between or beyond – nay, being a person is tough even without throwing race into the mix. Being white is becoming disenfranchised, which can be a good thing, as white privilege is not favored in this day and age. However those who have had hard lives may feel ever more disvalued as a result of their ethnic background, so we’re here to say regardless of your race, color, creed, gender, or religion, you’re all awesome, but this one’s dedicated to the white dudes who deserve love just as much as everyone else.

Health in happiness

Those who live circumstantial lives with uncontrollable affairs may find it hard to go about walking that path towards becoming a happy white man. Although sometimes it is just as simple as walking. Exercise reduces levels of the body’s stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. Additionally, exercise stimulates the production of endorphins – which are your happy hormones, with the added benefit of being a natural painkiller.

It doesn’t have to be too complicated either. Walking during your commute to work does the trick, or even just some sit ups at home. However if you feel you can’t exercise in any way, that’s totally fine! It’s not the only way to get your life back on track. Setting a schedule and finding a routine for your daily life helps bring some order into your existence, into a much more controlled chaos that we can live in. Sometimes it’s just as simple as eating and sleeping at the same times each day, or remembering to wash your face. But most importantly, drink plenty of water. Yet if you can gain some muscle in the meantime, then that’s not too shabby either.

Find people like-minded people

Finding similar people who bring out the happy white man in you are often all it takes. Some get drawn in with a rough crowd, and that sucks, but there’s usually always that one person you may be able to think of who makes you smile – even if it’s your postman or someone you aren’t that close with. It’s never too late to give them a call or plan something together to keep you in a positive environment with people who want the best for you, and you in them.

It’s also important to note that it’s okay to say no to things. It’s okay to disagree with your friends too. You can absolutely disagree with someone without disliking them, and a lot of people appreciate honesty and a straight answer over backing out at the last minute instead of refusing to begin with. Everything is better in moderation, including spending time with friends, as well as spending time alone. Believe it or not, but you are the most like-minded person with yourself, so perhaps it’s time to look for ways to enjoy being alone if you haven’t already. Which leads us to our next point.

Do things for yourself

Without being vain, the most important person in your life is you, and the most important things in your life are what you want to do. Often other responsibilities may supersede what your wants, needs and desires, however you definitely need a balance or you’ll go insane.

It may be difficult to stop, but there’s really no need to obsess over how your actions may make you look bad, cringe over your words, or just generally live trying to impress others and worry what they may think of you. Cut that out as soon as you can, and you’ll thank yourself because you can just live to be who you want to be.

Moreover, find a hobby, or if you have one, then make it a priority. To become that happy white man you’ve always dreamed of, you’ll need some space for whatever sport, creativity or whatever you like. Put aside some time in your calendar dedicated to that one thing and just start. Even daily if you can. Sure, the best time to start was 20 years ago, but the second best time is now.
