We’ve written about a number of Racing Simulators which all look fantastic and are sure to please any racing enthusiasts out there but for me, the air is where all the action happens. I hate war but I have love for aircraft whether intended for military use or civilian. Growing up, the legendary F-86 Sabre and the F-16 Fighting Falcon were my all-time favorite aircraft along with the Boeing 747. I’m not much of a gamer these days but I do play World of Warplanes from time to time but the unrealistic dream is to own the VRX Flight Simulator.
Unrealistic because the flight simulator I speak of will set you back around $75,000! VRX makes racing simulators but they also have a flight package which allows you to take to the skies. Equipped with high powered Inten i7 computer with 250GB SSD drive, 8GB of RAM, and a powerful 500 Watt 5.1 surround sound system.
In terms of visuals, the VRX Flight Simulator uses a setup according to your needs in either a three, five, or curved screen setup using super-slim bezel full HD LED screens to display the visuals with clarity and realism. The simulator is able to replicate the flight experience of hundreds of aircraft as well as realistic scenery, weather, and even air traffic control. The simulation also comes equipped with three of the most popular online flying games.
The VRX also uses an advanced motion system for their vehicle and flight simulations. The system is able to create a dynamic motion in response to on-screen visuals and user input which results in a fully immersive experience. The ‘D-Motion’ system enables the system to develop extremely realistic simulations that are able to respond and adapt to real-life situations, such as velocity, textures, vehicle motion, and engine vibrations. You can fight the seat-pinning force of take-offs and are able to experience the thrill of taking a nose-dive at high speeds while testing the limits of the world’s most iconic aircraft.
The VRX Flight Simulator is made using hand-polished stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminum while featuring an authentic Italian Sparco racing seat. It also comes with FFA certified flight control panel and a commercial-grade D-BOX motion system capable of producing 2g of acceleration and three-degrees of freedom.
Each simulator is custom built to order and takes approximately six wees for delivery. That $75,000 price tag will include installation. I’m going to be daydreaming about this for the next couple of weeks.
