Victorinox INOX Watches

Did you know the Swiss Army brand has been around since 1884, and their watch brand Victorinox was founded in 1989? To celebrate the 130th anniversary of their world-renowned parent company, Victorinox has released a special watch called the INOX.

The word I.N.O.X is French for stainless steel, the metal played a major role in the success of the world-famous Swiss Army knives.

In keeping with the tradition of Swiss craftsmanship and the durability of Swiss Army knives, the I.N.O.X watch is made to withstand the toughest conditions. The case is made out of stamped and machined steel, giving great protection to the inner workings of the watch and in the process, making it water resistant to 200 meters.

The Victorinox I.N.O.X watch has been put through rigorous testing, 130 tests to be exact, giving the watch the motto of “made to last”. The watch is able to withstand temperatures of -51 C (-59.8 F) to +71 C (+159.8 F) and up to 12 G’s of acceleration and deceleration. The watch can also withstand a drop of 10 meters onto a concrete surface. In terms of protection from liquids, the watch can withstand being dipped in gasoline, oil, pesticides, and cleaning products. That is quite an impressive list.

But wait, there’s more. The I.N.O.X watches also come with a silicone and nylon “bumper” that goes over the watch effortlessly, to protect the case from being damaged and provide additional shock absorption to the watch and its movement.

The I.N.O.X watches come in 43mm stainless steel cases and feature very clean and simple designs. The dials come with the standard three hands, with the seconds hand painted red. There are 12 hour indices, which have been stamped for durability. The date window is located between the 4 and 5 o’clock position and the watch dials are covered with triple anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal. The watches are powered by Swiss Ronda 175 movements.

The Victorinox I.N.O.X watches come in three colors: black dial with black rubber straps, khaki green dial with khaki green rubber straps, and blue dial with blue rubber straps. All three watches come with black silicone/nylon bumpers.

These watches will be available in September, priced to be released later. For more information, check out victorinox.com
