I’ve reviewed and written about a number of Bluetooth speakers but the Boom Swimmer Bluetooth Speaker is probably the strangest looking device I’ve seen in a while. I think the entire process started out with the designer wanting to give new life to the traditional Bluettoth speaker. As soon as the words “new life” came to mind, he knew then and there that sperm would be the inspiration for this Boom Swimmer Bluetooth Speaker. And it looks like a swimmer alright.
The REAL Inspiration Although I Prefer My Version Better
This speaker is waterproof, dust-proof, and even shock resistant and is available in a range of colors. The Boom Swimmer Bluetooth Speaker is not scared of the water and is IPX7 rated meaning it can be submerged into one-meter deep water for up to 30 minutes with the tail on. It would be even more amazing if the tail actually allowed it to swim. Although not actually a swimmer, the flexible tail does at least give you the opportunity to hang the speaker from places. The tail can be twisted, looped, and snaked providing a number of mounting possibilities.
The tail is also removable and a suction cup can be added so you can place the speaker on a wall, window, glass, etc. By using the suction cup to attach the speaker to a flat surface, you will get added bass to your tunes. The speaker is able to provide up to eight hours of continuous tunes on full blast and 16-hours at half volume. The internal lithium-ion battery can get a full charge via USB in only two hours and connects to any device with Bluetooth 4.0.
The Boom Swimmer Bluetooth Speaker is available for only $59 on Amazon.
