A More Rugged Look – Dodge Journey Crossroad

For a short amount of time, I was working at a car rental company and our fleet included all makes of vehicles from little Fiat 500’s to BMW X3’s. Of course, the GM and Dodge products always seemed to be one of the least wanted vehicles of choice and I don’t blame the customers but one vehicle I didn’t mind was the Dodge Journey. I even preferred the Journey over the big Durango. I just liked the way it drove and it seemed like a very responsive ride even if it wasn’t the most handsome of vehicles.

Looks like the Dodge has rolled out the 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad, a more rugged looking Journey. The standard Journey looks like an over glorified minivan but this one at least improves it aesthetically. The vehicle will be making its way to the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.

For the exterior, the Dodge Journey Crossroad will feature a new blacked out front grille, updated black headlight bezels, smoked tail lamps, extended side sills, platinum chrome roof rails, front and rear bumper accents along with 19-inch ‘Hyper Black’ alloy wheels. Normally, these “special editions” are only available in a few paint jobs but the Journey Crossroad customers will have plenty to choose from such as Pitch Black, Copperhead Pearl, Fathom Blue, Redline Red 2-coat Pearl, Pearl White Tri-Coat, among a few other choices.
