Polaroid Lab – Polaroid Printer for Your Digital Photos

Polaroid has just released their first printer ever, the Polaroid Lab. The Polaroid Lab is like the older Polaroid cameras except it is meant to print out a photo from your phone that has already been taken. It is designed to work with the iPhone 6 and later models as well as most Android phones. The idea behind this is that it will take a picture of the photo on your phone and print it out. You can download the Polaroid Originals app and also play around with the effects of the photo; however, you won’t know how it will look like until it is printed out – kind of like the original Polaroid cameras where you snap and get a print out. To get the best effects, it is recommended that the photo be placed facing downwards for 15 minutes. Once you have chosen the photo you want to print through the Polaroid Originals app, you simply lay your phone facing down on the printer and with one touch of a button, you will have your unique printout.

Taking a picture of a picture may not give you the exact picture you see on your screen, but that is the whole point of the Polaroid Lab. The print out is not as clear as the picture on your screen and the print-out does lose a lot of details, but the photochemical process used gives you an authentically exposed and unique print. Instead of taking photos and just letting them sit on your phone or on Cloud, why not print them out instantly and have a permanent memory on your fridge, an album or to decorate the wall with.

The Polaroid Lab can be charged via USB and can last about one month before needing to be recharged again. The Polaroid Lab is available for $129.99.
