Retro Motorcycle: Royal Enfield Classic 500

Royal-Enfield-Classic-500-Motorcycle-RedNormally I prefer sports bikes over cruisers and other types of motorcycles, but I do have a soft spot for retro bikes as well. One of the nicest bikes I’ve seen in a while has to be the Royal Enfield Classic 500.  With a motto like “Made Like A Gun,” you know this bike is tough and of course, it’s gorgeous with its World War II styling that looks like it was perfectly preserved in a capsule.

The Classic 500 looks retro on the outside but it’s packed with the latest technologies.  At the heart of the bike is a 4-stroke 500 cc fuel injected single-cylinder air cooled engine that produces a massive 27.2 bhp at 5,250 rpm and 30.46 pound-feet (41.3 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm.  This bike’s not about going fast, it’s about looking cool…  Still, it can reach a top speed of 80 mph.

Abandoned Japanese Highway – Motorcycle Ride

I don’t usually give two shits about cars, trucks, or any other sort of vehicle. There’s a good reason that I leave those topics to our other more capable, auto enthusiast writers here at Unfinished Man. Every now and then, though, I’ll see a video of a car or bike zipping along an interesting place, and it gets my adrenaline pumping. This is definitely one of those videos.

Filmed on an abandoned national highway in Japan, this motorcycle trek looks like quite the adventure. If you’ve seen the cinematic version of

Art Deco 1930 Henderson Motorcycle – Frank Westfall… I’m Jealous

I admit it, I’m not much of a motorcycle guy. In fact I’ve only been on one once in my life, and even then, not as the driver. No, usually I leave the automotive stuff to Eddie and Faisal, both far more knowledgeable than I am… but not this time.

You see, it takes a special kind of vehicle to get me worked up enough to actually write about it. Something like, oh… a Jankel Armored Toyota 76 Landcruiser, or say, this beautiful Art Deco styled 1930 Henderson Motorcycle. You know, vehicles like that.

When it comes to transportation in style, most of us gearheads think of cars or planes but we somehow ignore the other stylish transportation mode, luxury boats and yachts.  Take the Intermarine 55, for example, it’s a luxury yacht designed by Brazilian yacht makers Intermarine in collaboration with BMW Designworks USA.

The Intermarine 55 features a stunning exterior design with an abundance of windows for the occupants to enjoy the view.  The yacht is 57 feet long and is available with two engine options that include a set of 670 horsepower engines for the endurance model and a set of 800 horsepower power model.  The endurance model can travel up to 350 nautical miles with a top speed of 31 knots and the power model can travel up to 300 nautical miles with a top speed of 35 knots.
