In late summer, Lamborghini gave us peasants a teaser image of what was to come for the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car, of course, is the Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale which is only limited to 150 units and is the most “extreme” Gallardo to be released from Lamborghini to date.

Inspired by the Blancpain Super Trofeo, the new Gallardo will be powered by a V10 putting out 570 horsepower and torque peaking at 398 lbs-ft at 6500 rpm. With the vehicle only weighing in at just under 3,000 lbs, the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale will be able to pull off a 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds and capable of hitting 124 mph in a lighting quick 10.4 seconds. The car is expected to reach speeds as high as 198 mph.

Subaru Impreza WRX STi S206 NBR Challenge

Subaru Impreza WRX STi S206 NBR Challenge

Today we bring you another factory tuned high performance sedan, this time it’s the already fast Subaru Impreza WRX STi in the form of a special edition called “S206”.  The bad news is that only 300 of these special edition cars will be produced and will be sold in Japan only.

Subaru is calling the Impreza WRX STi S206 the “crown of STi tuned cars”.  The S206 comes with a lot of goodies to make it handle better than the already great handling STi.  It comes with Bilstein dampers and STi tuned coil springs in the front and back, Brembo brakes with drilled rotors, 19” BBS wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sports tires, and a few other goodies listed at the bottom of the page.

400-HP Nissan Juke by Fox Marketing

Most of you who are car guys should know by now that Nissan UK has been working on the Nissan Juke-R project for some time now. They’ve “basically” powered the vehicle by installing the GT-R powertrain. And by basically, I mean months and months of work and a ridiculous amount of money has been put into the project resulting in the Juke-R putting down 485 horsepower.

While most of us could not afford such a project of this scale, there might be another option available on the market for the Nissan Juke fans. Marketing firm, Fox Marketing, has announced that they are currently working on a new tune for the Nissan Juke and it will be brought to market in the next few months as part of celebrating their 12th year in business. The company offers a wide range of services from web hosting to printing to even car design concepts for automakers.

We all know the oil-rich states of the Middle East love to splurge large amounts of cash on ridiculous luxury items because they simply can. One great example is the Armored Rolls Royce that had a price tag of $8 million and it ended up in that region.

And now Nissan has announced that they will be releasing a special edition of the GT-R supercar just for the Middle East and are calling it Nissan GT-R VVIP Edition. The car has a price tag of $266,000 and will be available in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other GCC nations.

These two love birds actually hold over 90 world records related to fuel economy and vehicles. Their latest record is for driving an incredible 1,621.1 miles through nine states on a single tank of fuel (diesel).

The vehicle used for this journey is the all-new 2012 Volkswagen Passat TDI SE sedan with a six-speed manual gearbox. They beat their previous record of 1,526.6 miles in Europe by 99.5 miles which was achieved with the Volkswagen Passage 1.6 BlueMotion diesel. Of course these guys aren’t your average drivers and they have techniques for achieving maximum fuel economy.

Hyundai and sister company, Kia, have been on a roll the last couple of years and 2012 has probably been one of the best years for them in terms sales and award winning vehicles they’ve been pumping out such as the Hyundai Sonata and the Kia Optima.

Today, all the attention is on the 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. Yep, you read correctly. A turbo Veloster! The cute little car has grown some balls and it means business. The 2013 Veloster Turbo made its initial debut at the Detroit Motor Show back in January and Hyundai has now announced the pricing for this little pocket rocket.

2013 Opel Adam Ready To Take On Fiat 500

Although not identical to the Fiat 500, you don’t have to be a genius to connect the dots and see how similar the Opel Adam is to the 500, especially from the rear view. The Fiat has seen success in the European market and GM’s European brand is eager to get in on the action.

The Opel Adam is certainly more aggressive looking and features a pinch of retro style designing. The Fiat 500 is a bit bland looking in my opinion. To set itself apart from the competition, the Opel is allowing customers to ability to customize the Adam to their liking on the inside of the vehicle as well as the exterior. The Opel Adam is also the first model in the A-segment that will have the option of LED daytime running lights.
