One of the best parts of what I do is the travelling. I get to travel all around the world meeting incredible people and seeing amazing places; I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. There is a minor downside, though, and that’s how difficult this lifestyle makes it to train and stay fit.
So today, with the help of my best friend, I’m going to share a few tips I’ve picked up over the years with respect to training and fitness as a man with a very busy schedule and a lot of travelling under my belt. Here’s the first secret: find a way to train, no matter what. If you can find a way, your secret way, to always make that effort, then you’ve already won half the battle.
Next up, find a type of exercise that you enjoy. If you want to become a champion in the gym, awesome. If you prefer soccer, that’s great too. Anything that gets you moving. Just make sure that you’re wearing something comfortable, something that breaths and moves with you. If you don’t have seamless comfort, you’re going to notice it. I’m a big fan of Champion GEAR exclusively at Sports Authority for these very reasons. It’s so well crafted that it won’t hold you back.
Once you’ve found an activity, like the gym or a sport, commit to it fully. I prefer lifting big in the gym, so no matter where I’m travelling, I find a way to go once a week. Make this part of your routine and the habit will be much more difficult to break. Trust me on this, consistency is everything.
Lastly, and you’re going to laugh at this one… drink lots and lots of water. Muscles don’t function very well when they’re dehydrated, and you want to be your best while you’re training. You’ll sweat more, but that’s fine… if you take my advice and pick up some Champion GEAR, the moisture-wicking fabrics are so effective that you’ll hardly notice anyway. All gain, no pain.
Consistency, comfort, and a little bit of effort are all it takes to become a champion in the gym, out on the field, or wherever your sport or activity of choice takes you. Work hard, and with the right attitude, the right gear, and a little effort from your friends, you’ll be the best version of you.
