Hey Joe Coffee Mug – Brew Coffee Anywhere!

I’ve become a bit of a coffee lover over the last year or two, especially since getting my hands on the Nespresso Lattissima Plus which I reviewed late last year. When I would go to work, I would sometimes prepare a coffee and take it to go but it can become a bit of a hassle at times or when you’re running late, there just isn’t enough time for that. And getting a coffee everyday from a shop will start to add up once you start calculating and keeping track. Once you actually calculate what you spend at coffee shops, you might reconsider when you realize you could taking a holiday instead with that money.

This is where ‘Hey Joe Coffee Mug’ becomes a very handy gadget which brews coffee on the go regardless of where you’re at. As long as you have the Hey Joe Coffee mug, their coffee pods, and water of any temperature – you have everything you require to make a delicious cup of Joe. The entire setup is portable with a removable/rechargeable battery and you can be brewing while you walk, drive, wait at some station, at your office desk, or even in your class while your teacher/professor bores you to death.

This travel sized coffee mug acts just like any other mug except the brewing factor and regulating the temperature automatically. Not only that, but the Hey Joe Coffee Mug can also warm up your coffee in a matter of minutes should it be lukewarm or cold. The brewed coffee is always served at an optimum temperature so you don’t have to wait around for 10 minutes for your coffee to cool down to a reasonable drinking temperature.

The device features two different reservoirs which are separated at the half way point of the mug. The top section holds the water while the bottom section is where the brewed coffee is stored once the water is heated and drips through. There is a tray placed in the middle of the coffee mug where you are able to insert the Hey Joe Coffee pods in the tray. One push of a button will brew coffee at 140 degrees Fahrenheit, while pressing the button twice will brew the coffee at 155 degrees Fahrenheit, and pushing the button three times will produce a cold drip coffee. After you’ve made your selection, the coffee will be brewed within a couple of minutes. Pretty simple right?

Another awesome thing about the Hey Joe Coffee Mug is that you can even use your own coffee grounds if you want. It will be a bit more messy but that is a possibility. You simply put your coffee grounds in the coffee tray where you’d normally put the Hey Joe Coffee pod. The company currently has a dark roast and a medium roast that they sell. As business increases, the company plans on developing more coffee flavors, tea pods, and even reusable filters.

And those used coffee pods can be tossed into a flower pot which also contain flower seeds. The packaging is designed to be a 100% fully recyclable system.

The projected retail price is $69 but the pre-order price on Kickstarter is currently at $49! Check out the Hey Joe Coffee Mug website and Kickstarter page for more details.

Hi Guys, I’d like to take the time to thank you for reading some info about me. My mission here as a writer at Unfinished man, is to entertain and inform on all things, from cars and gadgets, to reviews and life. I have a Bachelor in business but never really enjoyed school. I’d much prefer to spend time working on Unfinished Man than spending my days working long hours in some stuffy office. I love green tea and pistachios and my favourite fruit is pomegranate (weird I know). I hate the water but love nature, especially the nature here in my adopted country of Canada.
