You’ve probably noticed most of the watches featured in our “watch” section are high-end, super-expensive timepieces that most of us would never see, let alone own. So I thought I’d write about a somewhat affordable watch by Gucci, I usually don’t like “fashion watches” but the Gucci G-Timeless Sport watch collection caught my eye.
I’m sure most of the hard-core watch enthusiasts that visit our site are probably going to skip this post because, well, Gucci is known for their purses and other fashion things for women, not watches. As much of a watch snob I think I am, for some reason, I’m really drawn to these watches. Maybe it’s the bright colors and the playful look of the watches?
Technical Info on the Gucci G-Timeless Sport Watches
The watches are diver styled and therefore come in rather large 44mm steel or black PVD cases. The dials come in a choice of white or black with green, blue, and red hands and round hour markers that are covered in SuperLuminova. The dials are quite simple with three hands, simple hour markers, and date windows at the 4 o’clock position. The dials are covered with AR coated sapphire crystal and feature a uni-directional rotating bezel with large numbers. The watches come with a variety of bracelets and straps including steel and black PVD bracelets and a few NATO straps in three different color combinations. The G-Timeless Sport watches are powered by Swiss ETA quartz movements and are water resistant to 100 meters. The Gucci G-Timeless Sport watches are priced between $950 and $1,150 depending on the model, which is a bit expensive for quartz fashion watches.
