It is that time of year again when we purchase new furniture for both the home and the my personal workspace (yes, I’m one of those guys who work from home). We are on our way to being #TruPros . In order to keep costs to a minimum, my friend Adam and I decided to construct the items using our own tools and (limited) DIY experience. The project was to assemble one full-length table, two chairs and one side-desk. We also purchased a new BBQ stand ready for the nice weather.
We got our inspiration from this TrueFuel video.
Whilst we had the power tools, what we didn’t have was the oil and the fuel; we decided to visit our local hardware store with the idea to purchase the TruFuel 40:1 mix. As this is premixed with both fuel and oil, this is literally the only thing needed for the equipment. In the past I have manually mixed the fuel and oil, this is not only frustrating but it produces a mess.
With summer approaching in Philadelphia, the idea is to use the same Trufuel mix with our gardening equipment, chainsaws etc. which all have been locked away in my father’s garage since fall. Whilst this was a small project, we have bigger tasks over the next few weeks including cutting the lawn and the trees in the garden, which will definitely require all our equipment.
The idea that the TruFuel premix will last for two years after opened is definitely a major advantage over other brands. Additionally pricewise, this product is definitely excellent value and one that I would fully recommend for other DIY enthusiasts.
We wish we could show you the final product of our efforts, but like any DIY project this takes time. Stay tuned for the results.
In the meantime you can stay in the loop on social media.
