The Ferrari GTC4Lusso: Replacing the FF

The Ferrari Four, or FF, was the first AWD Ferrari ever. The FF was quite a bit “different” from what we’re used to seeing from the Italian sports car maker. And the name of the car was a little confusing too, were we to call it the Ferrari Four, the Ferrari FF (which translates to Ferrari Ferrari Four), or just FF?

Ferrari has addressed the naming issue, with the replacement for the FF now being called the Ferrari GTC4Lusso, which is a bit of an improvement. Looks-wise, it’s still a hatchback, but does look much more sportier now and looks like what a hatchback should look like if it were designed by a sports car manufacturer.

The Ferrari GTC4Lusso is powered by the same 6.3 liter V12 engine found on the FF, but now it produces 680 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 514 pound-feet of torque at 5,750 rpm. That’s an increase of 29 HP and 10 pound-feet of torque. The GTC4Lusso is also AWD, just like its predecessor, but now Ferrari has also thrown in all-wheel steering.

The interior on the GTC4Lusso is quite a pleasant looking place to be in, it’s elegant and sporty at the same time, without being overwhelming. The front passenger also gets a display screen on the dashboard that displays speed, rpm, gear selected, and other information the driver is normally privy to.
